Three Ontario Junior Hockey League players are on National Hockey League Central Scouting’s mid-term rankings for the 2024 NHL Draft released Friday.
• St. Michael’s Buzzers centre Jonathan Morello is ranked 121st.
• Buzzers teammate David Green, a defenceman on the Toronto team, is ranked 161st.
• Leamington Flyers (OJHL) netminder Sebastian Gatto came in at No. 24 among North American goaltenders. He is the only goaltender across the nine leagues of the Canadian Junior Hockey League to be ranked.
Morello (Clarkson) and Green (Merrimack) have NCAA Division 1 commitments for 2025.
All three OJHL players were on NHL Central Scouting’s North American and International Preliminary Players to Watch List released in October.
Morello, Green and Gatto will take part in the OJHL All-Star Celebration in Collingwood this weekend.
The 2024 NHL Draft will be held at Sphere in Las Vegas on June 28 and 29.
Final rankings are scheduled to be released April 16.
